i dont know if you remember a buddy of mine that went by sallen. he had a model that worked awesome during high volatility but lost its luster in more normal times. if memory serves he had a 7-800% return in a few years back in the internet boom and bust.
you should take a look at the international funds profunds offers. their average daily move the past few months has got to be up in the 15% range. heck today they moved 8-15.5%. i am still optimistic i can mine 1-200% or more out of these funds over the next few months. it doesnt take too many 20% moves to get there with compounding (roughly 6).
good luck with the short. im in cash and lurking. at this point i would like to see another leg down to previous lows or lower, but the market may not comply. im not willing to put money on it as it is more of a wish than a forecast.
