If the USA is such a mean and racist country, why are millions of people of every race, color, and religion willing to risk their very health and LIVES, to get into the USA, the land of ... OPPORTUNITY ... ???????????????
Very unlikely that any country in africa has a better balance sheet than the average us household. The median household networth in this country is about 100k.
We do have serious issues with poor savings rates in this country and we have lost all frugality. The main issue though is earnings power. You can create a framework for people to earn money but you cannot force them to spend it wisely and in terms of per capita production we are very near the top with a few special case countries ahead of us. That does not mean it will last and given our hideous government education system and lack of interest in savings and investment we may get caught by alot more.
