While the DJI dividend yield is historically still very low, it is rising with the decline in current share prices. This is seen in Value Line's data as well. One always assumes that dividends, if consistent, will put a "floor" in to the market where yields become an inducement to buy even if price appreciation isn't expected. Considering potential inflation, yields would have to be considerably higher to add any structure to a potential "floor."
