A settlement won't come until the defendants have exhausted all options to get rid of this case before trial. I suspected that PXD would appeal to the supreme court. Why not? If they lose it's not a big deal for them. Expect the court to rule this month. I am not really sure what the defendants can try after this to stop the trial. If there is really nothing else expect 1, 2, or all 3 defendants to come to the table to settle. I am starting to think they are throwing everything at the wall to get this case thrown out because they really have no interest in taking this to trial.
