I'm not surprised that you're "not interested in 3 months, 6 months or 1 year", because those are reasonable time frames for VMC investors to judge your apocalyptic musings. Further, 3, 5, and 10 years from now nobody on VMC -- except for yourself -- will be giving any thought to multi-year old forecasts. Luckily we all have a precedent to refer back to when considering the merits of your dire forecast...

BTW, the S&P closed yesterday at 1186. I'll report back to the board on my expectation that this index will be higher 3 months, 6 months and a year from 9/24/08.
