Whatever happens to you (or your bread) is a direct result of what you said, did, thought or felt before the incident.

You manifest your own destiny. Through inattention, improper presentation, faulty invocation, unpreparedness or an inability to recognize opportunity...you and you alone are responsible for the burnt toast.

We need a federal program to replace any piece of burnt toast suffered by a working class person with a piece of unburnt toast taken from the plates of the aristocracy.

In this photo:




what is depicted is considered by many to be properly prepared toast. Sure, some that prefer their toast lightly browned might call this burnt, but many would only consider bread reduced to a charred lump to qualify as burnt.

As for who is responsible...
