You really should think about the statement you just made. 200 acres if loaded with timber, especially if the trees are big in size and volume could have a few million board feet. It all depends on the size and quantity per mbf. I will guarantee that you would NOT log it by yourself in 2 weeks, unless there was basically no trees!

I will give you an example using lets say Fir trees.

If there is truly vast amounts of timber and again depending on size! I will use for the sake of argument 5,000 board feet per acre average would equal ONE MILLION board feet. At $600.00 per 1,000 ft would be a value of $600,000.00 gross.

This example could be way off and if the trees are big that could jump to 20,000 board feet plus an acre fast.

Also with my example, to log one million board feet would take a crew of several a month or two depending on lay of land and conditions as well as who logged with what equipment.

I also am not sure what type of mixture of trees are there and prices being paid from the mills in that area! A safe bet on logging cost delivered to mill is 30%.

Until the company announces a cruise of the timber, it is a guessing game, but normally when someone says vast that is a good sign.

You havent a clue what your talking about!!
I own close to 200 acres with about 90 acres
of bush.
That bush is worth about twice what I paid for the whole 200
acres.
Vast timber is correct depending on what kind of timber
we have on the property.
It could be worth twice to 5 times the value of the property.
You just dont know.
I thought I had covered my property pretty good then
last year while walking the back 40.
I stumbled upon 2 acres of maple.
hidden all this time between the pines and cedars.
Not only can you get a lot of money from the timber.
You can also sell the top soil which I have done.
On only 2 fields of my property.
One being about 6 acres and the other about 12 to 15 acres.
I wont tell you what it was worth because you wouldnt believe
me.
So,maybe jscot you should do little farming before you open your tractor UP!!!!!!!
