Earny says: I believe we have done some calculations here before on what it would take to operate a 10 million gal/year plant and it is at least 10,000 acres.
I say: The great state of Georgia in the USA is considered the poultry capital of the USA.
But I do not understand because I have seen these poultry processing plants first hand, the largest is 35 acres. How can Tyson, Perdue, Pilgrim's, Sandy Acres and all process millions of chickens each week?
Heck I can not find a single chicken coop on their properties anywhere.
I checked and back in the 1940's the largest chicken farm produced 1250 chickens a week. And now I am being told the state of Georgia produces and processes some 10,000,000 chickens each and every week of the year.
Nah can not be, how would that be done?
How can that be done earny? Do you say the above can not be done either?
Earny says: Nope ... the Little site in Belize will not produce the feedstock in sufficient quantities for anything more than a small pilot plant.
If that can not be done earny, how in the heck can Georgia grow and process all them little chickens each week........
Oh, I see the chicken plants (Perdue, Tyson and all) do not actually grow all them chickens, they have a network of independent farmers that grows millions each week of the year.
I was wondering cause if you go sightseeing in the state of Georgia you will be extremely hard pressed to even find a chicken farm, but THEY ARE THERE - CAUSE THE COLONEL NEEDS THEM
Now earny, see how it is done, all the feedstock will not be grown on them 201 acres, they will contract it out to independent local farmers.....................
