I don't think inventory build up is in anticipation of that order.
If it was raw materials I would say yes but its difficult to have finished product sitting in inventory for an order you have not received. How would you know what you needed to produce?
I imagine there are some exotic scenarios where they got an exact list from the customer of what they needed but no PO but it doesn't seem extremely likely. Would be interesting to get some company comment on though.
Regarding the 8k that is always the problem when a company does something like that. You assume all orders will get 8k'd. I think the significant of the 600k was the location of the order not the size so if I were to set a benchmark the 1.8 million is more relevant. The 8k could represent the bulk of the quarters sales but probably not extremely likely. When did they last have a quarter that weak? The overall revenue trends have been up so given they produced at high levels again last quarter and since the macro trends still look good it would be quite suprising to have their order levels drop off the chart.
As I said I think everyone is getting caught up in fear about a slowdown because of the revenue number. Their production this quarter was once again enormous and they apparently produced over 4 million in product for 2 consecutive quarters without any large contract announcement.
When posting on VMC boards all postings should have a symbol in the header and if foreign please post both US and Foreign symbols.
