Actually, I am 50 years old and hardly new at this...
I bought my first shares of stock in 1978 (200 shares of IBM, which I still have today & worth many times more...)
The Internet has been a marvelous thing, but NOT for investors.
The ability to rapid-fire short selling and trash stocks on these boards has brought it to a point where it is difficult to make money unless you know beforehand what the MM's are going to do, or become an MM yourself.
That is Not the way this is supposed to work...
It is so easy to do all the things no one is supposed to do and with the low percentage of getting caught that it has become almost a game. One that is stacked against honest, average investors...
If you really believe that the "pumers and lying CEO'sa are the problem, then who is the new one here? Yes, when CEO's lie it is bad, but when bashers invent things or take them out of context and post endless streams of Junk at the behest of MM's or the MM's do it themselves, they are a Much bigger problem.
The ease of which Market Manipulation and short selling can be done today is the biggest problem facing stock investing today.
Again, JMHO.
I wish you luck as well.
Cheers,
