#323 RE: a1derfullife #322

Before I make any judgements on those #'s, I'd like to have some more real #'s from Steve, ie, how many teak trees they have planted every year.... it is interesting, because I'll bet that most of the thinnings they have done are teak, premium mix hasn't been thinned yet to my knowledge, though I would anticipate it (1997) being thinned next year.

I'm willing to bet your numbers are a bit exaggerated, though that Steve wasn't willing to give you more accurate figures does bother me. Mind you, I don't think that you were trying to exadderate your number, I believe you were trying to be accurate. Tell you what, do the same calcuations, but with 500,000 trees being your final number, and then try it with 250,000... 2 million trees aren't teak, and I'll bet those aren't all even planted for harvest. Maybe 1 million for harvest, maybe, and maybe 250k, maybe 300k is teak of that. Now, I'm just guessing, but I'm also trying to get at a more real figure.

IF, IF IF Raleo is falling behind, then that is something that should be on the website, and in plain view.

If Raleo only started a few years ago milling lumber ( which is the truth) then it does take time for such a company to ramp up. I think Steve needs to address this in more detail, because this is the crux of the whole problem. Without Raleo, they might as well make fence posts out of the stuff. Since they still claim that Raleo is paying for lumber, then we need to know exactly when this lumber is anticipated to be used.

I'm not trying to undermine your authority here or expertise, but I am asking for probably everyone on this board to take a step back and analyze what the real problem is, and then address it without namecalling. Throwin a bunch of numbers at Steve puts him to to defensive mode at best, not contructive. Maybe if you, we , whatever, could get him to give us some real numbers that we can work with, ie, how many teak trees were planted each year for investors harvest, then we can start doing some more realistic calculations.

Brunner's failure to provide you a detailed rebuttal tells me that he might be able to... either he doesn't have the numbers, or he doesn't understand them, or your figures are so wildly off that he won't even give you the time of day simply because he feels you have no clue what you are talking about, and in that case he'll let you believe what you want to believe.

bottom line, Raleo needs to catch up... if this happens, everyone makes out. SBRUNNER needs to provide investors information as to his plan for this happening. Its that simple.

One other quick thing to note, I noticed you did calculations based on data from his website, but you also think other data on his website is faulty... so how are you cherry picking out data that is truly accurate (and incomplete I might add) and then contriving data from that? What are you using to determine your starting points? TATF data? TATF's incomplete version of the data? If you are distrustful of the website in general, then you can't take any data off of it as truth, in which case you need to fly down there and speak directly to Steve, see the books, and see the trees. Otherwise, its better to take the number on the website at face value and work with them, rather than against them. I'm not saying your math is faulty, but if you have a distrustful starting point, a faulty frame of reference, the all of your math is gonna come out looking fishy. I agree, something is fishy, but that doesn't mean that we cry foul yet.
