CD-137, Dr Meade spoke to JL @ ASM (#msg-30243789) on 23 June

Dr. Meade and I had a delightful conversation (lasting about fifty minutes).. Where he explained all about his personal baby CD-137, a complex immune enhancer-inhibitor,,,with many many possibilities in conditions involving the immune system...he seemed particularly excited about athersclerosis (hardening of the arteries) which modern pathophysiologists concede is an inflamatory disease,,but clinicians do not treat it as such...

Would enjoy a corporate presentation on CD-137 by Dr. Meade and others.

cool thanks,

not that it answers any questions. on the sidebar is detailed expression analysis:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD137

"CD137 can be expressed by activated T cells, but to a larger extent on CD8 than on CD4 T cells. In addition, CD137 expression is found on dendritic cells, follicular dendritic cells, natural killer cells, granulocytes and cells of blood vessel walls at sites of inflammation."

since nk cells have both cd137 and fc receptors it makes it interesting.
