Loop, thanks for the time off away from the Kiln's. Man I kept telling you folks it was getting hot in here. But someone else will have to deliver the notice to the CCA law clerks.

It is way hot down at the ITC a this time. I bet before his appointment word most likely was leaking out about the impending appointment and possible candidates. Maybe this is a reason Nokia decided to settle in the UK and may settle here as well, especially, if the appeals court puts them back in the ITC.

And wouldn't a Sammy/IDCC settlement be a nice promotion honor for our newly appointed ITC Chief, ALJ. I wouldn't want him to rule against me in an ITC investigation. His appointment says that the full ITC Commission has great respect for him.

Sammy and Nok, I would suggest that you defer to the advice of Judge Luckern, a very learned and intellectual man with the capacity to provide sound guidance and swift decisive justice when rendering Initial decision.

OT: "The Law of Karma" has survived...In the early 50's Eastman Kodak was a major supplier to me while in the Pharmaceutical Industry..and now his Legal decisions will supply Major satisfaction to me..LOL

He was a patent examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office from 1956 to 1960, and he began his career as a chemist at Eastman Kodak.

Now that Judge Luckern has been promoted to the Chief, is there a remote chance that some other ALJs will take over the IDCC case to offload some of his responsibilities?

Also, I'll wager there is a good chance Luckern is 80 or better and has no tolerance for "young whippersnappers".

My dad would have been 86 this year and graduated Georgetown in '51 along with Luckern. For dad, the war intervened and he got a late start, but Luckern had to have been born in 1930 or earlier.

Guys from those days don't have the patience or time to mess around. They're from the "git 'er done" school.
