it depends i guess, some logical thinking:

swampy areas can get drilled when there is a freeze up
but
more remote areas are less easy to get to when there is a lot of snow

Oilcan glad to see you found this board. I was going to send you an email. Hopefully we all can use both boards that the purpose of the boards were set up for sharing investing information that would have as part of the motivation for the post in the first place would be learning about money making situations from others and offering money making information for the most part

One aspect other than terrain is how far is the water source for cooling the drill bit---will it freeze before before it reaches the hole? The water will likely need to come out of the bottom of the lake by sometime in November. Is that hundreds of yards or hundreds of feet?

Scott told me that winter is the best time to drill and move drill equipment from site to site...the bogs and swampy areas are frozen. Perfect!
