Sounds like a good trip, not sure about Canada. If companies mine around sounds like a good place. I have had to reshuffle my backpack just to make room for a gold pan.lol When we were panning last month for the first time, we spray painted a small rock gold and set it in the creek up from us just in sight. Nothing makes panning more exciting than finding gold and hearing people crossing up from you thinking they found a 5 lb nugget. :)
jim,find out where the mines and minerals office is in that area.they will have maps and geology reports there.they can point you in the right direction.i recently picked up a folding goldpan,made of some kind of rubber,works good!!
