Well this is a really good article. seems to touch on a lot that we have discuss on the board. Also, imo, it draws a very bleak picture for xkem with the open statemnt about bankrupcy....
Just like I posted. Oniyide has pulled alot of crap in Nigeria. Many letters from Nigerian employees also stated that construction STOPPED around October and I posted that also. What a shame. Good luck to those who still believe.
Suppose even bad press is better than no press? While this article appears reasonably well written in it's attempt to chronicle a story for interesting reading, as we well know, it only scratches at the surface of what has and is going on with Xechem imo.
From my perspective it does not offer anything by way of solutions. Granted though is that they are a 'news reporting agency' while what we need for Xechem is mediation, both private and public - also imo.
lmf1264: I wonder whether this controversy will impact NAFDAC's upcoming decision in July as to whether to extend the two year temporary approval of Nicosan?
Likewise, I wonder whether this fiasco constitutes a breach of the terms of the original license of Nicosan from NIPRID to Xechem? (Surely, that license contains some requirement that Xechem proceed with the production of Nicosan in "good faith.")
I would not be surprised if Xechem ultimately loses its rights in Nicosan.
And frankly, if present management is hell-bent on screwing the retail investors -- and lacks the competence to effectively provide Nicosan to SCD patients -- I will shed no tears if the Nigerian Government takes back the rights to this drug.
People enjoy reading "Bad Press" articles. We are struggling to survive, maybe this will get us noticed by the right people. I wonder who tipped off that corruption commision? What a story we have here unfolding. Will AP pick it up and run with it.
