Elder I know who you are. I have been to your business website and talked to you. I know that you have been successful as well. Well have to disagree at this point on the loan fee. Coming from that industry and having just tried to get a proposal done for myself (on a bar with a building and land attached, a fee was requested) I will say that without a doubt I am right on this. You have to remember NVEI does not have buildings and land attached to this. There are very few lenders that will even look at NVEI's scenario. Your point about getting a loan from your local bank is strong....that is your best chance..... because from there where do you go? The people I talk to generally have been turned down from their local bank.
If you go back...way back in my posts you might find or maybe you recall I have always been under the assumption their plan has been to self finance through the movie........I don't care what all the bashers say there will be some money from the movie. I also am under the assumption that they dont need a whole lot more money if any....... I don't care what the filing said, show me a filing in the history of this company that doesn't say they don't need more money. I need more money, don't you? Does any body reading this board need more money? Oh my gosh the filing said they need more money. I called Ray on Friday about that and specifically asked him if that "was an advertisement to sell more 144's." He told me "he wasn't selling them anymore." I don't think they need more dough....nothing to base it on besides the fact that they said they were increasing the share count so they could partner with a company....why not partner with a chipmaker.
If you go way back in my posts you might recall that I have had 3 businesses that I started from scratch in my life. All 3 are in existance today and the first one was started in 1984.
So back to the orginal point. I think this is a tough thing to finance for two reasons. No brick and mortar for one and primarily because the tech would be so easy to steal. Spoke I'm sure you would know the answer but couldn't one just cut and paste the code? That has always been my belief why they haven't been that aggressive. There are hitchs with every deal and most of us are aware of one that we can use as an example. When 34Simmons was putting together the million dollar deal....well we don't know what was proposed but it was reported that he wanted a board seat. Good bad or in different that is the things that make or break deals. One thing we do know is we don't know all the facts on Bill's deal or MWL's. As a matter of fact we don't know Jack.....LOL I don't know if I am the highest ranking person in desire for the quiet period to end....but I gotta be up there. One thing the bashers are very right on is they hold their cards tight to their vest.....and when they pull this off that will probally be the primary reason why.
