AMD can provide an equal too or better solution for the next year...
Intel cannot manipulate and control the market as much as they used too given that AMD can provide better and more cost effective solutions...

xp50000, you do rather misunderstand. You scanned through 377 pages looking for the occult feature and/or patent in a publically available standard.

All Intel has to do is ask for a license!

However, they don't want to. It's called NIH (Not Invented Here).

Now, if they did ask for a license then they could make competitive server CPUs with glueless multiprocessing.

Of course, it still takes two years of effort.

That is the special feature.
