#12888 RE: Penny Lane #12885

Penny, Rogue: CHVMC08 is our China microcap index comprised of 61 stocks ..... at the beginning of the year, 38 of those traded on the OTCBB. Currently none have moved to the pinksheets, all are in compliance with SEC filing deadlines, and 2 (SUTR and CSY) have upgraded from the OTCBB to the Nasdaq or AMEX. That's pretty good record, imho !

There have been scams this year in China microcaps outside of our index, notably GUPR and AGMB, both relegated to the pinks, but there were warning signs for both these that would have permitted investors to limit their losses.

Penny:

I like you more all the time. I encourage others to personmark you. Having said that, I want to respond to these comments...

"There's alot of distribution abuse UNDERNEATH all these china r/m chop suey numbers that HAS NOT been being posted/discussed at VMC often enough. Yes, the adept traders will exit unscathed, but consequently will newby readers hold their bags and possibly at the expense of being bamboozled by VMC posting all these brilliant chop suey numbers and ignoring so many faults?"

If I were to describe the word "pump" (which you did not use), I would say it was lots of positive posts without any negative. I would also say VMCMB is the least "pump" board I have ever seen - largely because the vast majority of VMC'ers provide facts with their posts - dd, and if they don't they usually get chastised for it. AND, secondarily, people are free to post their differing opinions without being personally assaulted for it. It's rare when someone is attacked for criticism and I will ALWAYS come to the defense of the person who is anti WXYZ.

"Would you be willing to change the VMC title sentence to:

Value Microcaps is dedicated to finding (and flipping) profitable, low p/e, value stocks."

Cute, but a little misleading. If all a person does in reading VMC is to scan for a ticker symbol and see that someone loves it and then buy it and then hold it and then get killed... they DESERVE to get killed! Anyone who REALLY reads VMC will see that there are a ton of educational posts about how to take profits. What is interesting in the line you quoted above is that it doesn't even say to BUY in the first place. The goal of VMC is to bring these types of stocks to the attention of the reader. It is up to them to evaluate all dd (others and their own) from there.

"The VMC board has deteriorated somewhat from the excellent board I remember when I first stumbled onto it. Maybe the chinas are ALL legit, every one?"

Well, of course, I disagree that it has deteriorated. I consider it better than ever - in conjunction with the other boards that we have. You won't find discussions like this ANYWHERE else that I know of!

Whether the "chinas are ALL legit" or not is not really relevant as far as I'm concerned. By definition, if you read any of the Value MICRO cap boards, you should be aware that there will be stocks that are brought up that could end up being a black hole. That's the nature of the beast, but also why we can uncover opportunities that are impossible to uncover in large caps. And, that risk is why we preach diversifying.

"Any stance of "inconclusive evidence" cannot be argued, but the abundance of faults within the china r/m sector should be discussed more often and more openly for the good of ALL readers, adept traders and newbys alike."

Ok, well I am going to continue to take the "inconclusive evidence" stance. R59's post is a very good argument IMO. As to discussing the negatives of the r/m sector and discussing it more often, nobody is stopping you or anyone from it. If there is a lack of that discussion, I suspect it is because we don't know much. It's foreign territory (literally). Other than the occasional DD from Digitech or Northern or a couple other who might visit a location or speak the language, all we can do is tear apart the numbers and keep track of the ratios of stocks that fail as a percentage of those that don't. If there is something more that you suggest, feel free to be specific.

The main thing is that we encourage everyone to assume the worst and, if they decide to buy China VMC's, they TAKE PROFITS whenever they can!

"Constructive criticism & jmo"

No problem. You are entitled to your opinion.
