Now I see they are two different things - so there is no direct competition. The perception that Atom is gonna kill XScale is just flat wrong. Those internet devices will never replace the smart-phone. And how big a slice it can cut into phone and ultra-portable laptops? That's a big question. For HP or Apple, they are happy to sell more stuffs so they have incentives.
Anyway, MRVL has rebounded 40% from the low - suggesting its xscale is not its liability.
