they will probably end up being the most costly US military bases ever, if you factor in how much it cost to win them. And that includes lives and money.
Actually, it won't cost us anything at all--just look at the budget. It's all funny money, and Cheney has already told us that Reagan "proved" that budget deficits don't matter. And we all know what an economic genius Cheney is, don't we? Besides, the money isn't even in this year's budget--won't be counted until next January, the Bush admin says. Why January? Wouldn't have anything to do with something that is happening in November, would it?
But of course the Bush admin doesn't do anything because of elections, no, they are principled folks. They do what is right and let the chips fall where they fall, don't they?
