Ron, guess what I was asking/trying to say to you is that IMHO information sharing and discussion of personal opinions across a range of relevant investment topics is one thing,... while promoting a personal agenda is something else. Sure looks like you are on a campaign to do something more than share info and investment opinions here recently, but I could be wrong??
This rookie may be naive about what equity investor's can and should do(and also about what forum's like this are for!), but my understanding is that investor's can decide to buy/hold/sell equities and should vote the shares they own(and that these online forums are for folks to share what they know/ask for help, and to celebrate our successes/suffer our disappointments with each other). Probably got at least some of that wrong, but have absolutely no doubt about my personal feelings when it comes to seeing what looks like somebody throwing rocks at something I have an interest in.
I took the initiative to drive the 600 miles to KOP back in 2001 expressly to meet Harry, Howard, and any other execs available at the ASM that year. In an informal discussion after the meeting xdx and I enjoyed a give and take with Harry across a range of topics. Harry was direct, informed, and very candid in answering our questions. He was also very enthusiastic about the business outlook for InterDigital. I left impressed with the man. Howard was also impressive, but for other reasons(i.e., he was very brightly lit but not at all candid! He is a mighty smart lawyer was about all I got there, LOL!). Also managed to meet Rip, Janet, and Mark Lemmo. All impressive folks IMHO.
That was another checkoff on my dd list before investing in IDCC at the current level. Nothing I have seen since then has caused me to do anything but add shares whenever cash is available. Got a few more today. Gonna read the IDCC proxy info when it comes and vote my little stack of shares using the same info and personal judgment that keeps me invested. Bet you are going to keep doing what you want to do as well. Thanks for listening and peace bro!
