I think UC has cut a deal with the doj and I think his cooperation with the sec is required.

I've been thinking along the same lines. Maybe they were told that things could and would get a lot worse for them if they didn't play nicely. Or maybe they just think it's wise to cooperate.

One thing's clear: the SEC wants to publicize this case, and to make CMKX an example.
