i wonder if they stopped drilling because they knew that they were not safe yet from MOSH calling them out. If they continued drilling and struck it big, it would really be hard to cover it up. Perhaps they figured it would behoove them to eliminate the trust altogether and once it was gone, then they would drill deeper. Thoughts?
