My whole opinion? No...but it would be the first of many steps to validity in my mind - your mileage may vary. Without this everything else is a bit of a moot point, would you not agree? They cannot simply announce another agreement, or binding contract without some actual proof of payment and delivery of goods. They made their own bed...
Right now they cannot give even this most fundamental of information - to me that is telling. If this does not bother you at all you have a much different risk tolerance than I do...and much different classifications of what constitutes an actual business...
