Dave, I bet everyone that seems to think they know what they are talking about in terms of running a business has worked at McDonald's or Dollar Tree and knows the process of being paid minimum wage because that is all they are qualified for.

Being a minimum wage employee, or even the manager of a location - doesn't mean you understand internal business processes. That 1 week to stock the shelves probably took years of efficiency planning.

PEROT or whatever his nickname is has yet to provide links to his webstores he opened and stocked in 1 week.

i remember when my grandfather did that expansion. i guess they just dont make em like they used to...
then again, his retail store was a small version of home depot, and all the men he had there were accustomed to doing all types of construction jobs. even the junkies he hired to mop the bathroom floor coulda done it with their eyes wide shut!

You had the WRONG company doing the job.
That IS what I do.
Actually I dont do the physical labor myself any more, but I used to.
Installing a couple of cooler boxes and a freezer in a new store about 12 hours.

A few years ago I replaced all of the display/self service coolers in a few food world stores in North Alabama (Similar in size to Kroger or Publix) If we didnt have the job finished in 48 hours from start to finish we lost our asses on the job. (Thats take out the old and install the new, WORKING) 48HOURS

I could fill a 10000 sq ft store with all the refrigeration equipment and shelving you can get in it and have everything at operating temp in 3 days with 3 helpers (big strong helpers)
