So when AMD lowers prices, they are offering more reasonable value, but when Intel lowers prices, the sky is falling. LOL, you can't have it both ways.
1. Straw-man argument-- I never said the "sky was falling", just that Opteron was impacting Intel.
2. All price cuts are not the same. Surprising, but true.
As for *new* high-end offerings, they do seem to have ONE new Xeon MP since last year. Unfortunately, as with the rest, it's limited to 4GB of real memory, and isn't competitive in 4 or 8P configurations due to the shared bus bottleneck.
