Now, we will no doubt hear from the fanboys, that this is some sort of "conspiracy" to harm AMD, generated by intel, and their secret black shirt squad, to "force" microsoft (cough), to delay the release of software, that MS could otherwise ship for revenue.

Like I said a couple of days ago... until 64-bit Windows is out... I'm not overly concerned about Nocona delays... Yes, they're problematic, but a CPU without software infrastructure is like a V12 Ferrari with only 8 spark plugs...

Well, what could anyone expect?

If you were MS, you wouldn't want a change to a new OS before it was supportable on more than 20% of the market. I think we could see this one coming. After all, from MS's view this is just a PITA b/c there's no groundswell for 64 bit support until the market needs it. Their original view was probably for Longhorn but, as everyone knows you need the hardware there long before the SW.
