A dealer buys the cars from the automaker and they pay interest on the cars to their bank until the vehicles are sold. Automakers are not going to hand out new vehicles to a john doe without getting their money. Automakers are in the buisness to sell cars to dealers and dealers are the buisness to sell cars to the public.
