Yes, my allegiance is to God before all others, including family, job, country, and anything else.
God gave us His instruction Book, the Bible, and it contains all that we will ever need to guide us in this life. Since the completion of Scripture at the end of the 1st century, there have been no new divine revelations to man, despite all the spurious claims to the contrary. None. God now speaks to us through Scripture, and we are to diligently study it throughout our lives to give us discernment as to how we should lead our lives.
As for your charge that to put God first is treason, that comment is absurd and you know it, or at least you should know it. God's instructions are that we are to obey our laws and rulers except in the case where the dictates of government directly contravene the express dictates of the will of God. If you will recall, these commands to obey the civil authorities came under the rule of Rome, a corrupt and morally bankrupt empire like few others, with leaders like Nero and Caligula. We are even to obey and serve our masters if we find ourselves in slavery.
You have nothing to fear from true, Bible believing Christians.
