#53945 RE: Sea-Note #53944

sea-note, thanks very much. with your 3rd message to the board you've contributed more DD than some of us would in hundreds of posts. ;) i think this line was one of my favorites:

Proven successful systems get a lot of attention from folks doing new builds (worldwide annual newbuilds are approximately 10,000 hulls) so this "data gathering" period is very important.

capturing just a small portion of worldwide annual newbuilds would probably transform DPDW, and from the feedback you're getting about the success of electrowave's previous work they may be able to grab more than just a few of these projects, and for multi-year durations.

Sea-Note, welcome aboard and thank you

that is by far one of the most informative and educational posts on ElectroWave this board has ever seen.

"worldwide annual newbuilds are approximately 10,000 hulls"
i like that number, is that just larger commercial boats?

#53957 RE: Sea-Note #53944

Sea-Note - Welcome and thanks for that excellent post with a closer look at the MPCMS(than most of us could ever have) and view backed by your almost three decades of experience in areas towards which EW's products are targeted. I have been a big fan of the EW acquisition by DDI and really think that it'll fuel DDI to the next level based on so many things - existing product suite, adding control/monitoring capabilities to DDI's hydraulic/pneumatic product capabilities and diversification to boot.
I'm assuming each MPCMS is custom designed and manufactured -
wondering if you have any info on what dollar range these could go for. Of course, EW is also capable of building/supplying other systems that feed into the MPCMS (CCTV, BCS, EOT etc). I'm also glad you mentioned the "data gathering" phase many shipyards may be going thru'. This should give people some idea on what to expect and not to get alarmed if they don't see a spurt in EW orders in the upcoming 10-K. The patents that EW has gathered, hold the promise of "exponential growth" per their website. I feel the DDI acquisition of EW came at the right time, as they were making their presence felt in the industries and turning profitable. We'll have to sit back and watch the next stage of growth kick in.

Looking forward to your oil patch products opinion as well. I know you're probably out of your 3 posts for the first day. Hope to hear back soon. Thanks much!

well, that just ruined everything sea-note. none of us can measure up to that post! that sounded so good the bears around here are gonna think you've been planted here. lol. hell, that would be a good thing, because frankly i would prefer to have people like you working for ddi. . .and we surely do have them. great post. thanks for opening my eyes more toward EW. Sage, for one, has been outspoken in his EW support, and I now know I should have been just as excited. mark from me.

Thanks Sea-Note!

Welcome to Deep Down!

We have not had much in-depth discussion with EW even thou we all agree this will have positive impacts on Deep Down.

Your experience and in-depth report on this front is refreshing and well received!

I look forward to reading more news from your posts as we move forward in 2008-2009.

Cheers.
