Well, it's for sure never been determined whether CO2 is the cause or the effect of warming. I'm much more concerned about particulates and the various oxides.
I've been looking at sun cycles for years, so this CO2 argument never impressed me. Sunspot cycles are the most likely reason, imo. Hell.....why is Mars getting warmer? Does Mars have Hummers?
That said.....there's no justifiable reason to pollute (again.....particulates and the various oxides.) With the industrial growth of China and India.....this is deadly serious business.
