Kap, three years? Do you have any information that says Microsoft won't be releasing a desktop OS for AMD64 this year?

I am expecting we will see some very compelling 64-bit games to drive the 64-bit consumer market for this year's holiday season.

Kap, 60$ Bartons compete with Celerons. A-64 ($150 est. selling price from AMD) compete with P4. AMD pricing is lower than Intel's, but that shows signs of change.

Where power consumption really matters in server and laptop, AMD's share is positioned to grow W/O 64 bit, IMO. Not to mention the benefit to your ears not having to listen to the "whine of a P4 fan", the noisy cooling device inside your computer (not the complaining of the Intel loyalist). ;)
