jk, i think you're not quite clear on the proteus. my understanding is it's two units that comprise the whole (a main apparatus and a control box), and it attaches to a winch. DPDW can either sell a proteus AND a winch, or it can retrofit the proteus to an existing winch. this would not undercut anything in terms of the proteus. it only means we can sell more products to more clients. hope this helps.

Thanks jk - I now understand what you're saying about undercutting sales. IMO, it comes down to giving the customer, options. Like you said, it gives DDI a foot in the door with the customer; the customer, a chance to see how this works for them on an existing winch before they order enhancements or replacements to winches on their fleet. One could even say that not having the add-on option may mean less sales. The winch by itself is a commodity item anyway and if we sell them a Proteus minus the winch, that's not a bad deal IMO.
