Well I was waiting for a rebuttal to that knowing full well when I posted it I'd have at least one coming.

When does a parent stop being a parent? I believe the answer is never.

As a Col in the army the dad had the inside scoop so to speak.

Yes everything you say is true about stepping back etc etc. On the other hand I don't think the father will ever have any peace as to having lost his son in what I consider a useless war.
