"1)" Yes you are; assuming
"2)".."there is still a small chance that the top line data is not as good as expected" Yes there is a chance.
"3)"...Hmmmm if they know the top line results are bad, then what difference would it make to wait until Tuesday? The stock would fall under $1 for an even longer duration. But who'd be suspicious?

"In spite of all the above fears, I am holding on to my position after having unloaded some above the $1.1 mark this week"

That's nice. How about waiting until the next significant news item before posting again?

"the last patient was enrolled by Jan 7 and I have to assume that all the pertinent top line data is currently in the hands of GTCB"

Why do you have to assume that the data is in the hands of GTCB? The patients may have been recruited as of 1/7 but the question is when is their data available? The press release certainly suggests that their procedures were scheduled such that management expected the data to be available "around" the end of January, but I don't think the press release means that everything was done as of 1/7, only that it was expected to be done in January. After the patient's procedure is finished, there is a period of observation (until the risk abates, as Dew has told us) and it is possible that that might slip a day or two.

If you really believe that management is sitting on the fully analyzed data, it seems to me that you have only one choice -- sell in the next 100 minutes or so.

Dear Cro,,,

You cry like a 2 year old and ask us to talk you out of selling all your GTCB stock and buying ZGEN. Then the stock moves up a few pennies and you're giving us all directions on how to trade GTCB. I feel pretty sure I'm not the only one not seeking your advice or who does not really care whether you are buying or selling (unless you are trading in 100,000 share lots). I believe you posted you are a retired physicist and I'm sure your very smart and probably no one on the board would debate "string theory" with you.

There is an old saying in the market; if you can not sleep at nite, sell down to the point where you can. Another old saying; the stock market does not offer a college education. I take that to mean we do not always understand why stocks move up or down at the time they are doing it. Try to be patient, this is a stock where those who are patient will do well.

Crou, replying to your 3 issues:

1) Re-read the Jan 7 PR. This said that patient enrollment in the HISTORICAL arm was complete. It also CLEARLY said that the ACTIVE arm was still ongoing. Thus, you can not assume the data would be in GTCB hands at any specific time from that. BTW, I do agree that as we go further into Feb there will be some downward price prsssure due to just the fears you raise.

2) Agree that there is some danger. Shit happens.

3) NO the stock is not at 7 days over $1. This requires a bid, not a close. And that failed on the 3rd day. BUT, if you believe the company wants to support the price, all they have to due is issue a PR with a specific timeline (i.e., they now have all patient clinical data and will release top line on xxx).

And on your concluding point, I agree with the concept, but not your timeline. I myself will start getting nervous bout 10 days into Feb.

Cheers.
