Gasification of coal and other feed has been around for some time, but with the increased laying of pipelines from gas fields to the east and west coast, these small outfits no longer were cost effective, who knows, if natural gas gets to $10/MF (I hope I have the dimensions right), they may start and pop over the place again. The problem I am trying to address is the vented, burned and reinjected natural gas from existing crude platforms as well as a lot of natural gas only strata which are not commercially extractable due to lack of local markets or proximity of pipelines.
