That one is easy. The ancient Romans would have laughed at our gullibility. Whenever mischief was done in Rome, they reflexively asked, "Cui bono," literally, "To whose good?" Those ancients recognized you first look to the one or ones who benefited from a manmade calamity for its cause.
Obviously, things were done as they were done because those things benefited CorrCo, that is, Mr. Corr and his group. They walked away from Rushnet much richer and better off than ravaged RSHN shareholders who, for whatever reason(s), trusted them and held on to the bitter end.
Business and semantics are inseparable. It's impossible not to be concerned with business without paying heed to semantics. Words and numbers, in one form or another, run the businesses and industries that amass or lose fortunes. Understanding the reality behind words and numbers; that's where the edge is.
It's possible to love the product and hate the company. Confusing the qualities of product with the qualities of the company (i.e., its management) has been the downfall and failing of many a shareholder who tarried too long at the well.
