Not so crazy, I have Fidelity and Scotturd. Never have any problems with Fidelity but Scotturd is always slow on these things. This should not take more than 2 to 3 days tops in my experience.

I was thinking the same exact thing. I bet once everything settles with the new symbol change this is gonna fly. They brought it down to cover there shorts in the event of the name change.
Explains yesterdays drop. This should pick up very soon.

Here's a post from another board about naked shorting causing restricted buying. Doesn't pertain to this situation, but gives you something else to remember for future trading. Funny to me how everytime I have to call an order in they can never give me a reason why online buying has been restricted, they always play dumb.HMM

Like I said, they told me on the phone that my SHCM shares had settled so I should be ok, or they lied, but I don't think so. I also got no such notification from TDA. It doesn't sound right that if shares were sold short that the selling brokerage is able to wiggle out of a short squeeze by paying cash. I didn't even think that was an option. Sounds like a class action suite for those who they try to pay for those FTD shares. Wonder what they will pay, original purchase price or last few days average price?????

Couldn't find any specific documentation on the short and symbol change situation yet, but did find this mentioned in a posted article from earlier this month.

Short or “Oversold” Positions:

There has been widespread speculation that there is a significant short position out on the stock. While it is impossible to prove on a definitive basis, it is our understanding that any short position, if it exists, will need to be covered before the stock begins trading under a new ticker symbol. The transfer agents will require a full accounting of all stocks held and certification of ownership prior to issuing stock under the new ticker symbol. Obviously, this will put substantial pressure on any holders who have profited by overselling the EFGO stock. If the short sellers do not cover their position, they will be facing a failure to deliver, and the very significant consequences that entails.
