It is helpful to know that he said that. However, that does not stop him from changing his mind if the opportunity arose. As to them not wanting to function as a white knight, that is a strange thing for him to say. I would have hoped that if some nasty hostile takeover came GTCB's way, that LFB would be amenable to acting as a white knight through a deal with management. I am actually quite surprised he said that...

I agree. I think the issue here is the small quantities of stock purchases rather than the stock purchases themselves. What these insiders bought is infinitessimal compared to their current holdings, and small by any standards, so one has to wonder why they did so. My thinking is that they are sending a message to shareholders that our future is bright, at least I hope that is the case...
