The problem with the markets now are that people are insecure. They are trigger happy to sell amidst the housing problems and credit freeze. Banks don't trust each other (serves them right after hitting true asset values) and won't lend and they don't want to use the discount window because it means that they are hurting. So they leave the public in the dark about how much in losses they are holding. That is a big unknown. It's one of those markets where I don't think any one benefits. I made some calls because of seasonal events and the like but if you look at USDJPY daily its off the bottom of a painful drop. So there is some money there holding it and they will probably ride this up. But any new cash flow that brings in may be countered with selling because of uneasy investors. Its a tougher game.
