No doubt Bonds personality never helped him along the way and I agree with you on how the his situation has transpired. I'm just wondering if there will be a double standard after today with some successful players and one of the best pitchers of all time, Clemens, being listed on the Mitchell Report. If people call for an asterisk on Bonds, then Clemens has to have one too.

Of course this has all been discussed in the past, but we still don't have enough information to determine how many players were involved let alone who. This report is another step in the right direction to help clean up baseball, but it is definitely not far reaching enough...especially without the power to subpoena certain individuals. The whole era is what it is, a whole bunch of players using whatever they can to gain a performance edge. We don't know nearly enough concrete evidence to only finger a few select players. It's a slippery slope and one that is going to be difficult for MLB to handle properly. No matter what they do, a lot of fans will be upset....or maybe a lot of fans are already numb to it all over the last 5 years. The whole era is going to have its own asterisk and we'll know who the prime culprits are.

I feel bad for those players who were/are clean and tried to compete on an uneven playing field. It's starting to sound like they were in the minority. Then you have ultra-talented players such as Bonds and Clemens using a substance that makes there performance beyond human and it becomes totally unfair.

What a mess....and this just makes it bigger today.
