Gotta agree with Gio after reading that order. Sure looks like the Samsung and IDCC legal teams in Delaware agreed to a "cease firing" period between now and Jan 18, 2008.

Mighty interesting to see that happen with things closing in on Sammy and Nokia trying to run hide from the ITC under the ICC's skirt.

JimLur--No one should draw any conclusions from the fact that IDCC and Samsung recently agreed to the extension for Samsung to respond to IDCC's counterclaim and Motion to Dismiss until Jan. 18. Back on November 5, 2007, this Stipulation was previously entered by the Court to allow Samsung until Jan. 18 to respond to IDCC's Counterclaim:

STIPULATION TO EXTEND TIME (1) for defendants to respond to amended complaint and (2) for plaintiff to respond to counterclaims to November 19, 2007 and January 18, 2008 respectively - filed by Samsung Telecommunications America LLP, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Interdigital Communications Corporation, Interdigital Technology Corporation, Tantivy Communications Inc.. (Herrmann, Richard) (Entered: 11/05/2007)

After that date, IDCC also moved to dismiss part of Samsung's complaint. This recent stipulation merely adds Samsung's Response to IDCC's Motion to Dismiss to that Jan. 18 deadline.
