24601,

re: The point is that this Acer PC uses an Intel 865 motherboard that is equipped with a TPM. Thus, Intel TPM-equipped motherboards are shipping. (emphasis your's) Wave's ETS is included on Intel's hardware-installation CD for the D865GRH motherboard.

Whoa, slow down cowboy. The Acer SKU does not ship with the Intel D865GRH motherboard. It ships as follows:

The basic specifications include an attractive two-tone (black and silver) tool-free-access case, Pentium 4 processor, Intel's 865G chipset with integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR400 RAM and on-board gigabit Ethernet networking. The motherboards (MSI-made and Acer-branded) (emphasis mine) all have AGP slots, so you can upgrade the graphics if necessary.

The 865G chipset is just that: a set of support chips. The Acer SKU does include a TPM, but that in no way implies that Wave ETS is included, nor does it offer any corroboration to your claim that "Thus, Intel TPM-equipped motherboards are shipping". They may be shipping in some volume or not, but the Acer SKU offers no "dot to connect" with respect to this issue.
