Good question. I would think that it would include more than just 11 current free agents, but that's just my guess. It wasn't exactly an in depth article.
I would think thats just the feature of the story. In reality what would the chances be that only free agents were going to be named. Looks like there is a 99% chance the sox will sign lowell. It is a good signing for them. Playing in Boston and having the green monster there has made him a better hitter as his numbers show. The law of averages say it is a very good signing and thats where he wants to be.
