I think you're way off here. A relationship is just that - a relationship. It does not intimate some formal (or informal) agreement - and I don't recall an agreement ever being announced.

Making the jump and claiming these emails are double speak and deception are irresponsible IMO (unless I misread and you were referring to your own post).
