If so let me help you, remember the speech which received praise for even the most liberal Americans? Did you forget how President Bush described how we where to handle terrorism to a Joint Secession of Congress? In June 1986 Abu Abbas the man responsible for seizing the Achille Lauro and killing an American passenger was tried in absentia, convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for masterminding the hijacking. The sentence was upheld on appeal. Since that time Iraq has provided safe haven to Abu Abbas, we know this because on April 16, 2003 Abu Abbas was captured at his home by American forces on the outskirts of Baghdad.
August 18, 2002 Abu Nidal was found to have "committed sucide" by shooting himself 3 times in his chest at his Baghdad apartment. Who was Abu Nidal? Abu Nidal and his group have been blamed for more than 90 terrorist attacks that killed more than 300 people and wounded 600 others. The attacks struck at Middle Eastern, European and U.S. targets. Major attacks included the Rome and Vienna airports in December 1985, the Neve Shalom synagogue in Istanbul, the Pan Am flight 73 hijacking in Karachi in September 1986, and the City of Poros day-excursion ship attack in Greece in July 1988. He was sentenced to death in absentia by a Fatah military court.
Mariner, you know why known terrorists such as Abu Abbas, Abu Nidal lived in Iraqi before the war? The answer is simple, Iraq was one of the very few countries which would harbor known terrorists. You see Mariner, contrary to your opinion of Saddam not sponsoring terrorists or terrorism, the harborers of terrorists are terrorists by definition.
Mariner maybe you don't understand this simple legal concept so let me help you out. It is no fallacy, if you harbor a killer you can be charged with that same crime. Just thought I'll let you know the law before you get yourself in trouble in the future.
