Oh, simple. Even if Intel *knows* it is early 2005, they would say "late 2004" for strategic marketing reasons, and "slip" when the time comes.
Actually did you note the slide from HP?
It says, "64-bit OS, tools, and application development in early stages".
Now, in light of Otellini's (he does speak for Intel, right?) comments about wanting all that stuff to be done before Intel ships...
I don't think Q2 is likely. Do you?
