Wow, you are really down on MRVL now. Down and now out. Can't say I blame you. Frankly, it has done nothing.

As to reports and this Q etc. I have to say this is the last hurrah for stocks. You can feel this creeping crude in housing, car sales, oil and food prices, credit debt and eventually, everyone will be saturated with every friggin item under the sun and simply not have the extra cash for another thing to fill a draw with. How many friggin storage facilities can we build in America to hold more crap that nobody will ever use?

With the market always looking ahead 3 even 6 months, we ALL know what we are looking at as of March 08. The conventions and the primaries and you bet - HILLARY CLINTON. There is just no escaping it and I cannot see the former king of the comb-over, cousin marrying, uno, dos yes I hear tres married mayor beating her. Yes, they actually include his mistress in his bio:

Given this, the discussion here HAS TO BE the calling of the REAL correction in stocks in a modestly narrow time frame. I am only on the fence about a parabolic, fake euphoric top lead by tech first?? Silly prices for all?

The pending disaster in the house of white will be epic IMO. The guesses of the DOW and NAZ on December 31, 2008 are open for calls but I will go with :

DOW 9,250
NAZ 1,945

The next thing to discuss will be what will be the stocks that might be considered Hillary friendly and those sure bet shorts when it becomes she is coming to the Potomac.

S2, with your move to the TXN board, I'd like to nominate Lakers to be the successor moderator for the MRVL board, assuming he wants to stay and is willing to accept the nomination.

I don't see any information on the website regarding how a successor moderator is selected, but an e-mail from you to the administrator would probably do the trick, I'd think.

I'm not interested in TXN (I'm inclined more towards small and mid-caps), and I suspect others here are "married" to MRVL as well (i.e., for better or worse). In my view, the content of Laker's posts is exceptional (acknowledging that I'm a fundamentalist), and I hope this board (as well as our MRVL holdings) will prosper in the future.

I agree with S2...MRVL is alot close to trouble than $20. They had an unbelievable run but were overtaken by their incredible inability to run a public company at the expense of many, many retail shareholders that believed in the bravado or "33 quarters of increased profit". It now is being buried by the competition even with all the design wins that Lakers so painstakenly uncovers. MRVL is dead for now and without executives to run the company or speak for the company, it is destined for failure with 2 people running a multi-billion dollar company. Go private or go bust.

It is unbelieveable to think they can keep any talent at all with such a bad image, no PR and all the companies like BRCM just plain spanking them. Wait till AAPL moves on and call it a day....Mom and pop companies have no business going public. I would have done anything to get a spokesman, get the best PR possible, get RIMM to say nice things about me, and on and on and on but it must be hard just bracing for years of breach of fiduciary duty litigation....What a failure.

Looking forward to TXN board. It certainly is dealing with a well run company, not this amateur bunch.
