That is indeed a mystery and a good bottom-line question. I have also wondered why would/how could any insider buy over a billion common shares when at the same time he's claiming there are only 41 million outstanding?

Ya gotta stop believing everything ya read. The sole reason I got into CBAY in the first place was because I believed all the SEC filings to be true. I never realized the lies and trickery that could go on in the filings and news releases to make this company look like it had assets many times stock price and was growing fast.

Before I invested in CBAY almost a year ago, I did a lot of research and even compiled a small book of filings, PRs, etc., and my summary and analysis. But I later found out my analysis was flawed solely because it relied on "facts" that I had found in SEC filings, company PRs, news releases, and such. So that was then; this is now. Maybe there is a new CEO, maybe not. But 2 and 2 still don't seem to add up to 4 in this company.
